In Loving Memory of My Father, J. Mark Winger RPh |
Obituary
Jesse Mark Winger, Sr. – aged 62, died on the 10th of July, 2002. He leaves behind a wife, four children and four grandchildren. Mark was a farm boy who was born and raised in Indiana – a true Hoosier at heart. Mark was a pharmacy school graduate of Purdue University who served his country during the Vietnam War. He and his family have lived in Boca Raton for the last 28 years. For 25 of those years, he and his wife owned and operated a pharmacy in Ft. Lauderdale. He was a very creative, caring and determined individual who worked very hard in all that he did and for all that he had. Mark was a true character with a powerful presence – a genuine teacher and a man of undisputed heart and soul. If you had to count on anyone for anything whether it is for a laugh and a joke or for help and advice, you could most certainly count on Mark. Mark should be known, remembered and adored for his playful spirit, his immense wisdom, his extreme generosity and kindness, his directness and honesty, his foresight and orneriness, his good humor and for his wit and charm. Mark was undoubtedly a very proud and brave man who believed in freedom and the right to pursue. Mark was a great man who was loved by many and who has touched many lives worldwide. He will be deeply and dearly missed by countless persons. This is, indeed, a great loss, so we ask you to please stand and raise your glasses in honor and acknowledgment of this dynamic and exceptional individual who was an amazing husband, father and friend. May he now spread his wings and soar freely above us all…pain-free and in sheer bliss…here, here!!! In closing, for those of you who feel obliged, the Winger family is accepting donations, in lieu of flowers, that will go towards a pharmacy scholarship fund set up in the name of Jesse Mark Winger.
